Use
A multi-currency current account can be activated by any natural person in accordance with the Transaction service agreement. Persons lacking legal capacity (minors and adults lacking legal capacity) can open a multi-currency current account through their legal representative/guardian, regardless of the Transaction service agreement.
You can manage your funds in all branches of Zagrebačka banka immediately after the multi-currency current account opening, and your debit card will enable you to access the funds in your current account in a simple and quick way, 24 hours a day.
You may use the debit card with no fee for cash withdrawal in EUR at ATMs of Zagrebačka banka d.d., for payments at EFT POS points of sale in Croatia and abroad as well as for online payments.
The amount of cash you can withdraw at ATMs and/or points of withdrawal depends on the balance of the account and card limits.

For transactions made using a debit card in Croatia or abroad your multi-currency account will be debited exclusively in EUR, regardless of the currency you have paid in or currencies on your account. If there are not enough funds or there are not enough funds in EUR, the account will be debited in other available currencies (considering the currency numeric code in the Bank´s exchange rate). The conversion of these currencies will be conducted in EUR using the exchange rate list for card transactions. The buying and selling rate of the currency on the day for debiting an account will be applied without additional charges for the conversion.
Proxies for transaction accounts of individuals can be arranged at the request of the account holder who is personally present in a branch and/or based on a special power of attorney. Granting a power of attorney in a branch: A power of attorney for a transaction account can be arranged in any branch which does business with individuals. When giving a power of attorney for an account in a branch, both the account holder and the proxy need to be present in order to be identified and sign the power of attorney form. Special powers of attorney: Special powers of attorney are certified by a competent body (notary public), foreign competent body, or an authorised person from a diplomatic or consular mission. They can be issued for any purpose, or for performing any action in relation to transaction accounts which must be specified, i.e. listed in the special power of attorney.
Security
Using the card is safer than carrying cash. When using the card for payments or cash withdrawal, you will need to enter a PIN (in certain countries, you may be required to sign the sales receipt). PIN is a secret identification number known only to the card holder. Therefore, it should be kept secret and it should not be written down on a paper near your card.
If you forget your card PIN, and you use online banking, you can check your card PIN any time in our mobile app (m-zaba).
The user is obliged to report a lost or stolen card immediately to the bank’s Contact Centre (24/7) via tel. 01 3789 789 and confirm the report in writing in nearest branch of the bank.
It is also possible to report a lost/stolen card in the nearest bank branch.
Please adhere to the following pieces of advice:
Remember the PIN and never write it down on the card or other documents
Destroy the old card (it will suffice to cut it through the magnetic stripe) after the expiration date
Do not communicate the PIN or card data EVER to ANYONE
Do not leave the card in visible places (in the car, in a cloakroom, in a hotel room, restaurant, etc.)
Make sure to check the transaction amount prior to payment
After the payment, verify that the card returned to you is really yours
Keep our address and telephone number handy to be able to quickly report a lost or stolen card.
