All the candidates who apply through an open application or who apply to one of our job posts are entered into the candidate database. The candidate database of potential employees enables us fast and timely response to the need for new employees, while providing the opportunity and possibility of employment to included candidates.

At the Bank, we need different profiles of people, so we often employ experts in managing business relations with clients (legal entities and citizens), risk management, experts in the field of informatics, lawyers ...Regarding educational background, we most often employ graduates of economic, business, legal, science, mathematics, electrical engineering and IT studies. We also often employ candidates who hols high school diploma or have economics, administration, or other related secondary school qualifications.

The first step for any candidate is sending the CV as an open application or an application for a particular open competition. The candidates who, based on the information from the CV, best match the required profile are invited to a psychological testing for particular jobs or the candidate database. We also want to get to know candidates and their motives for working in the Bank as well as possible, so the next step in the selection process is the interview for the candidates who successfully passed the previous steps. Depending on the position, you can be invited for one or several of interviews.We want to simplify the selection process as much as possible for the candidates, so it is possible to do almost the entire selection process from home (or another place that suits the candidate). Psychological testing is conducted online, and part of the interviews are also held online, via video call.

Psychological testing is a standard selection process in Zagrebačka banka by which we obtain data about personality traits and cognitive abilities of the candidate. After psychological testing, sometimes we can test professional expertise as well. The tests that we use cannot be found online and you cannot prepare correct answers in advance. We conduct testing online, which allows candidates to choose the timing when they will take the test. The time required to complete the tests is about 90 minutes.If there is any factor that might affect solving the test, make sure to inform us about them in advance. During the testing pay attention to the instructions for solving the tests and try to remain relaxed (however difficult it can be at times). During testing, answer the questions truthfully and try to keep the concentration from the first to the last minute when solving the tests.

Unfortunately, we do not. Given that we receive a large number of open applications, we invite only those candidates who, at the given moment, have the most relevant academic and professional experience.

It means that according to our assessment, based on many years of experience and conducted analyses and research, you do not fit into the profile of a candidate that we are looking for at Zagrebačka banka. This, of course, does not mean that you are not competitive for another company which is possibly looking for different candidate qualities and profile.

In Zagrebačka banka there are two types of interviews with candidates - the initial interview and the interview for a particular job.The initial interview is a conversation with a specialist from Human Resources where we want to get to know the candidate better and assess for which positions we could consider them. We can conduct initial interviews online (via video call) or in person.The interview for a particular job is conducted with the candidates we have included in the selection for a certain position in Zagrebačka banka. These interviews include an interview with a Human Resources specialist and managers and/or specialists from the business area in which we are hiring a new person. The aim of this interview is to get to know the candidate and assess whether the they correspond to the required profile for position. During the selection process, it is possible to invite the candidate to more than one interview. This kind of an interview can also be held online (via video call) or in person.

If you have reached this phase of the selection process, this means that we recognise your potential for work and we wish to get to know you better. Depending on the position, you can be invited to the Bank for one interview or a number of them. We offer several useful tips so you could prepare for the interview:- inform yourself about Zagrebačka banka and about the field / position for which you are being interviewed- examine your CV that you have sent to us- prepare your own introduction- prepare answers to the most frequently asked questions (What makes you a good candidate for the position in question? What are your strengths, and what are your areas for development? What motivates you? Why would you work in Zagrebačka banka? The purpose of the initial interview with one of the experts from the Human Resources Management of Zagrebačka banka is to get to know you and make a better assessment of which positions you could apply for. After that, since we have not discussed a particular position, we do not give feedback about employment at a particular position, but we can discuss the general impression that the candidate leaves.

This means that you did not meet the expectations according to some of the requirements or simply that there were candidates who were a better fit for the required candidate profile. This also means that you will remain in our candidate database and that we might invite you for an interview for another job.
